Parisrennes is a French brand of contemporary jewelry  designed, conceived and manufactured in Rennes by designer Antoinette Parrau. 

Founded in 2012, the Parisrennes brand combines the designer's two cities: Paris, her hometown, and Rennes, her beloved city a little further west.

 

 The Fin necklace is the first creation and the iconic Parisrennes jewel. It is characterized by a segment of a fine chain meticulously continued by a tinted thread, like a colored pencil on the skin.

Parisrennes jewelry is a precious item with a minimalist, colorful, elegant, and comfortable design. 

  

High-end jewelry created by Antoinette Parrau in collaboration with contemporary artists. Productions are manufactured on a small scale, on demand, and some are numbered. Collections are regularly presented when a new collection is released and according to the news of the collaborating artists.

A Parisrennes corner is set up at Frac Bretagne and the Musée des Beaux Arts de Rennes. The collections are available online on the Parisrennes website www.parisrennes.com. 

 

The production of Parisrennes jewelry takes time to dream, design, manufacture, and distribute.

With respect for our planet, Antoinette Parrau works with quality jewelry materials, carefully chosen pearls, selected stones, precise craftsmanship, and a technical approach to object design. Antoinette Parrau works with color and plays with textures. Parisrennes is defined by a vibrant orange as a tonic note.

Lives and works in Rennes. Since graduating from the Beaux Arts school in Rennes in 2004, Antoinette Parrau has produced luminous objects presented at design fairs: the Saint Etienne International Design Biennial in 2006, Maison & Objet fair – which invited her as a featured talent in 2007 – and the Scènes d'intérieurs space... Luminous objects were also shown at the Salone Satellite furniture fair in Milan. Following this editorial work, Antoinette Parrau developed research around the manipulation of light, for which the Centre National des Arts Plastiques awarded her a residency and research grant (2009). DRAC Bretagne awarded her an individual creation grant (2017) for her colored light project inspired by natural light phenomena. In a Design Care Residency at the Eugène Marquis Cancer Center in Rennes, accompanied by 40mcube; and in a creative residency "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," at Mosquito Coast Factory, in Campbon (2021), Antoinette Parrau works on light and color.

In parallel, in 2012, Antoinette Parrau created the PARISRENNES label, with which she creates objects on a hand scale, jewelry. It is with this label that she creates various objects and jewelry in collaboration with visual artists.

 

 Parisrennes occasionally publishes signature jewelry. Limited collections are created in close collaboration with an artist. These are rich and varied exchanges in which Antoinette Parrau invests her expertise and technical perspective on the relationship between jewelry, body, materials, and narrative. Each collection refers to the ongoing work of the artist and can be a multiple of their artwork.

The Signatures editions offer jewelry or small precious objects born from an artistic project.
